An analogue-led approach to your wedding
A wedding is made up of more than its scheduled moments. It is also found in the movement around the edges: hands reaching for one another, guests filling a room, a quiet embrace and the shift in energy when the evening begins.
I photograph from within the celebration, staying attentive to the people, relationships and gestures that give the day its character. I will offer gentle direction when it is helpful, particularly during portraits, but I will never pull you away from your wedding for longer than necessary.
That approach allows you to remain present while I create photographs that feel intimate, colourful, tactile and true to what happened.

I have worked with film for more than 16 years, developing the technical experience and instinct needed to use it confidently throughout a fast-moving wedding day.
My approach brings together honest documentary photography and an editorial awareness of colour, light, composition and place. The result is a wedding gallery that feels atmospheric and beautifully put together, without making your day feel directed or turning it into a photoshoot.

I photograph weddings throughout Scotland, the UK and Europe using a considered blend of 35mm film, medium-format film, Super 8 motion picture film, and digital photography.
Using film is not an occasional addition to my work, or something included simply because it has become fashionable and trendy. It sits at the centre of how I photograph a wedding. I have worked with film for more than 16 years, developing the technical experience and instinct needed to use it confidently throughout a fast-moving wedding day.

My approach is special and brings something different.
35mm film carries movement, grain and the spontaneous energy of a celebration. Medium-format film creates slower, more detailed frames with extraordinary depth. Polaroids provide something immediate and physical, while digital photography gives me the flexibility to document fast-moving moments and difficult lighting without interruption.
My digital work is carefully edited to sit naturally beside the analogue photographs. Rather than receiving two noticeably different styles, you receive one coherent story with the texture and character of film running throughout it.
Film processing and high-resolution scanning are handled professionally, with the finished analogue photographs delivered alongside your digital images in a private online gallery.
